Aaj Jaane ki Zidd Na Karo...
An all time favourite ghazal- Aaj jaane ki zid na karo
can't get the damn tune out of my head! ;)
Written by poet and lyricist Fayyaz Hashmi, and sung by many singers over the years...sharing some of my favourite versions... Go get intoxicated! xD
Aaj jaane ki zidd na karo
Yu hi pehlu mein bethey raho
Haaye mar jaayenge
Hum to lutt jaayenge
Aisi baatein kiya na karo
Aaj jaane ki zidd na karo..
Tum hi socho zara
kyu na rokein tumhe
jaan jaati hai jab uth ke jaatey ho tum
tum ko apni qasam jaan-e-jaan
baat itni meri maan lo
Aaj jaane ki zidd na karo..
Waqt ki qaed mein zindagi hai magar
chand ghadiyaan yahi hain jo aazaad hain
inko kho kar kahin jaan-e-jaan
umr bhar na tarastey raho
Aaj jaane ki zidd na karo
Kitna masoom rangeen hai yeh sama
husn aur ishq ki aaj mein-raj hai
kal ki kis ko khabar jaan-e-jaan
rok lo aaj ki raat ko
Aaj jaane ki zidd na karo...

Eclipse...
There is something mysterious and beautiful about Eclipses that always makes me feel awe-inspired! =)
Eclipse-by Pink Floyd.
writer-Roger Waters
All that you touch
All that you see
All that you taste
All you feel.
All that you love
All that you hate
All you distrust
All you save.
All that you give
All that you deal
All that you buy
Beg borrow or steal.
All you create
All you destroy
All that you do
All that you say.
All that you eat
And everyone you meet
All that you slight
And everyone you fight.
All that is now
All that is gone
All that's to come
And everything under the sun is in tune
But the sun is eclipsed by the moon.
"There is no dark side of the moon really. Matter of fact it's all dark."

Watch Out!
Language! sigh. every time i think about language, the thought of 'use' of language saddens me and often arouses in me a feeling of disgust! Why is it that the language of the present day so called modern society so rough and i shall take the liberty of saying 'informal'?! why has language and words as a way of communication become so loose and lost it's style? words oh words!
Well, if you genuinely care about WORDS, check out this video and definitely do Think about it!
P.S.: AND watch out for 'apostrophe' ! ;) xD
Also having keen interest in symmetry, asymmetry, asymmetrical symmetry,etc... i bumped upon this video!
enjoy! =)

Threads...
All the cold, chilly wind that blows
A wilderness of sensation it evokes.
Creates a whirlpool of emotions in there,
The source of which i'm still finding..oh where?
Rainbows within rainbows, colours are myriad
Words within words, creating a facade.
Words are like nails, if they can fix, they can even cause holes.
All that is left now are two hollow, empty souls.
Covered with polythene, a fresh yet temporary dew
Threads entangled, lots left to sew.
Stitching corners, pleated folds
No more wax in human moulds.
Crossroads are many, closures few
Endless journey, people new.
From dawn to dusk, dusk to dawn
A silent fight, the threads are torn.
Clouds overhead, swayed by pleasure
Threads broken, lost loved treasure.
The ends loose,
unable to fuse.
The ends lost,
how much really does a new thread cost?!
