Finally!! I grabbed my copy and read it immediately... breathing a sigh of relief after having read it! It was strange about feeling that Part 4 was always there (or maybe I didn't remember where it ended before reading the new edition). Needs no justification or explanation.
It's also feels complete now that i think back and realize that strangely i never kept JLS for myself. Always read it in a library and gifted it to friends. Time is a mysterious entity i guess ;)
JLS is a treasure... will always be... so close to my heart! :)
Afterall...
More than anything else, Jonathan Livingston Seagull loved to fly.
PS: Thanks to Sito, else I would have totally missed out on this considering how lost I usually am from the real world. :D
Dear ~bani
ReplyDeleteI am elated you've finally revisited Jonathan. I don't know if you intended this but I love the way you laid out the book's cover page on your homepage. I see the silhouettes of the gray/black birds wings outspread in flight and Jonathan's white image great wings outstretched as well flying in the opposite direction.
this is as if you're showing Jonathan's flight to freedom and discovery of true Selfhood!
Welcome back, sister.
Namaste sister Bani; such a treat was this book. Not strange at all Bani, part four was released much much later. Most editions do not include part four. Always a pleasure to visit sister. Hope you and your family are doing well, enjoying life, loving.
